 The Around the Archdiocese is a brief calendar listing of events by the Archdiocese, parishes, ministries and other organizations throughout our ten-county region. Learn how to submit your own event to Around the Archdiocese here. The Herald is not able to acknowledge each submission.

Around the Archdiocese - Event Submissions

  • To submit events for the Around the Archdiocese section of the Texas Catholic Herald, use this form or email the Herald the details of the event to tch@archgh.org
  • To submit a flier, click here.
  • Deadlines: Submissions must be received by 12 p.m., at least three weeks (21 days) prior to the publication date. Click here for deadlines. Due to increased total number of submissions, we are unable to acknowledge each submission.

Note: Priority is given to parish-based and parish-hosted ministries, groups, religious orders and organizations found in the Archdiocesan Directory. Also, due to space and other factors, we cannot guarantee placement or frequency in Around the Archdiocese but we will whenever possible do our best to get your event into the section. 

Include the following information in your e-mail:

1. The name of your event (for example, "Chili Cook-off Scholarship Fundraiser")
2. Date, time, location (with full address) of your event
3. A brief description of your event (see example below)
4. The name of your organization (if applicable)
5. If the event is for charity, include the benefiting group or organization
6. Include the cost for tickets or note that it's free
7. Name, phone and/or e-mail address of the contact person that you want readers to call/e-mail with questions (do not include personal contact info that you do not want released to the public)
8. Web site address for your organization (if you have one)
9. Name, phone and e-mail address of the lead contact person, to verify info

June 13-14

AGAPE Congress, 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Prince of Peace, St. Andrew Discipleship Center (19222 Tomball Pkwy., Houston). On Friday, Agape Congress is a free event for high school students in the St. Pedro Calungsod Youth Center, which includes dinner, a talk by Evan Lemoine and Q&A. On Saturday, the $10 adult event is features guest speakers on love, identity and sexuality in today’s culture. Topics include Theology of the Body, intimacy in marriage, parenting and living with integrity. Game night, 6 to 10:30 p.m., Prince of Peace (19222 Tomball Pkwy., Houston). Hosted by the Knights of Columbus #8482 and Catholic Daughters of the Americas, event includes games, finger foods, prizes and fellowship. Cost: $40 per person in advance, $45 at the door. 713-899-9275.

Study group, 9 a.m. to noon, St. Theresa in Memorial Park Library (6622 Haskell St., Houston). Eucharistic Procession, following 8 a.m. Mass, Sacred Heart (109 N Frazier, Conroe).
